Flood Appeal Passes £4,000!

November 5, 2005

EleAid has now raised over £4,000 for the Flood Disaster Appeal on behalf of the Elephant Nature Park. We have been working closely on this appeal with the Bill Jordan Foundation for Wildlife (BJFW) and are delighted to report that they have collected £6,500 so the total collected by British charities is now in excess of £10,000!

Awareness of the Appeal was heightened by a small piece in the Daily Express (opposite) that appeared after they spoke with Adam Murry, the CEO of the BJFW.

The funds have made an enormous difference in Thailand, where reconstruction work is well underway. 'We are in the process of replacing the destroyed buildings and lost equipment,' Lek told EleAid. 'I have been deeply touched by the kind support from people around the world.'

Thank you to everyone who has so generously supported this appeal we will continue to run it until the end of the year and guarantee that every penny raised will go to the Elephant Nature Park to help them rebuild.
